When five minutes are up, take the pan out of the oven and transfer the meat to a warmed platter. Cover the meat with foil and let rest for five minutes.
There’s nothing as satisfying as bacon pancakes for breakfast on a Saturday morning. This recipe makes the fluffiest pancakes, and I always top it off with lots of crispy bacon strips.
.
This is a breakfast dish I used to have quite often as a kid, and I like to think of it as a comfort breakfast! If you love grits, you’ll enjoy this savory version of oatmeal.

My first copy fell apart from so much use. This was my welcomed replacement This book "takes it up a notch" for those of us that don't have a lot of time to spend hunting for ingredients, following complex recipes, and spending over one hour cooking. Just what I needed. The receipes are true to the time preperation and it has chef quality taste. I like the dinner options, be sure to have your salad ready to toss as the main course is ready stove to plate in no time. While I had great hopes for this book - I was disappointed when it arrived. The recipes are generally quick and easy but hardly gourmet. Most are very common and appear in many other cookbooks and publications. As a cookbook collector and avid cook, I look for unusual recipes or the use of unusual ingredients/combinations. None in here. While this might be good for beginning cooks - not enough to interest me.
These Breakfast Taquitos would be perfect for dinner too. Damn Delicious shares the recipe.

Finish the salad: In a large bowl, combine the watercress, orange slices, and sunflower seeds. Toss to combine. Just before serving, add the dressed parsnip to the bowl, then toss everything together, adding more vinaigrette if you’d like.
Make the vinaigrette: While the salmon roasts, add the orange zest and remaining garlic to the shallot and vinegar mixture. Slowly whisk in some olive oil until it’s the consistency of a vinaigrette, about 2-3 tablespoons depending on how tangy you like your dressing. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour some of the vinaigrette over the parsnip, and let it stand while the salmon finishes roasting.

Surf and surf is the new surf and turf. Shrimp and tilapia are the stars of the show here, but asparagus adds some colorful contrast and a lemony butter...
3. Economics – by staying home and preparing a gourmet meal for your loved one, you can get a bigger bang for your bucks. For the same cost of buying a mediocre bottle of Champagne in a restaurant, you can trade up for a higher end bottle of bubbly. Same holds true with wine, caviar and I’m sure you can prepare lobster tails or Chateaubriand or a fraction of the cost at home.

5.0 out of 5 stars it is a great addition to your cooking arsenal Purchased the book because it contains some recipes that have never been made available online (e.g. Mushroom Charlotte on page 67). It is big, having over 1000 recipes, nevertheless it is one of the few cookbooks that I will keep in printed (vs. online form).
