You can eat a nice, juicy steak alongside some sunny side-up eggs any time of day, but it’s a wonderfully American way to wake up. In 1961, Alan Shepard was served steak and eggs before the historic trip that made him the first American to travel into space. Ever since then, it's been a tradition for NASA astronauts to eat this hearty breakfast before a launch. This recipe will be done in 15 minutes.
Made my version of this for Sunday brunch and it was a huge hit. I made scrambled eggs and added toasted bagels and salmon along with bacon, fresh fruit and a few cheeses. Such a great, easy breakfast idea and my friends thought I was the next Martha Stewart. Thanks!

One common technique is frying chicken in two fats — extra virgin olive oil and unsalted butter — for the best flavor. Remember butter begins to smoke at a high temperature, so add it to the pan as soon as the butter is melted and foamy.
I’m still going to post about these antipasto skewers, but man were they ever good! It took three of us to assemble them all at the last minute, but it was totally worth it!
Add the pasta to the sauce: Add the drained pasta to the pot with the sauce. Stir until the pasta is well coated. Cook 1 minute longer. (Add some of the pasta cooking water if the sauce is too thick.) Divide the pasta and sauce between 3 dishes. Sprinkle each with the grated Pecorino and the remaining chopped oregano.

I have a job that requires I eat lunch on my lap in my van pretty regularly. So, in order to avoid eating a cold sandwich, I will go to great lengths. Before leaving my office, I will heat it up the sandwich, put it in one of the Tupperware sandwich holders, wrap it in tin foil and house it in my insulated lunch bag until after my meeting when I can finally eat. Trust me, it's worth the effort. This gourmet sandwich recipe is also worth the effort, although it's pretty easy to make.

OH! And if you don't have carrots,, but you DO have a butternut squash, you can not only sub diced butternut squash for the carrots, you can also roast the butternut squash seeds (here's how to do it)! Commercial pumpkin seeds are good, but I'd argue that homemade butternut squash seeds are THE BEST SEEDS EVER. They have a buttery, subtle flavor and a light crunch. I happened to have a bowl of them from a squash I used to make Naptime Soup earlier in the week, so that's what I used on this particular batch of tacos.
