Breakfast is such an important part of a your morning ritual – it sets the mood for the rest of your day! So take a little time to plan out well-rounded breakfasts packed with tasty, nutritious ingredients (aka. meals that will get you excited to wake up in the morning). Here’s a few things to keep in mind while planning your list of breakfast ideas: Create protein-packed meals to fuel you for the day. While eggs are the most common protein option, don’t forget about the power of chia seeds, hemp seeds, oatmeal, nuts, and nut butters. Sneak in greens where you can – it’s easy! I always say, the more greens the better! Meals such as scrambles, hashes, egg muffins, or casseroles make it easy to add leafy greens and *all* the veggies. Mix up sweet and savory options throughout the week. For those mornings when you don’t want something savory, it is possible to have better-for-you sweet options that don’t come in a cereal box. Make a batch of chia pudding, creamy overnight oats, or yogurt to enjoy throughout the week! Eggs For Breakfast, But Better

The only quibble I have with the ingredients is that every once in a while, I think the authors lost track of their audience and used obscure ingredients such as ramps. (Not only are ramps highly seasonal, many megamarts simply don't carry them, even if they could, as they loose money on them.)
4 slices of toast for each recipe – you do not want to use regular sandwich loaf bread but rather a crusty type bread.

Catherine, Start our evening early with that charcuterie board followed by the bistro style penne and lemon chicken…and top it off with that French Lemon Tart! Hot afternoon? I’ll have to chose between the peach moscato slushie or the healthy Almond Joy shake… Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Preheat a grill pan (fry pans work fine, too, but they won’t give you the nice grill marks) on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Massive and a treasure trove of a variety of recipes I love this cookbook and the only problem I have with the cookbook is that some ingredients you make not have on hand or are available at your local market. That being said it is a gourmet cookbook so it is cooking above the normal everyday cooking.
